Questions

Why blur instead of block?

Blocking breaks pages and invites workarounds; you just open another browser. A blur keeps the page intact and working. It removes the pull of the content without pretending it doesn't exist. Softer, and for many of us, far more effective.

What does Softspot see about my browsing?

Nothing. There are no servers, no analytics, and no account. Your blur rules live in your browser's own storage. Softspot only gains access to a site when you blur something there, and you can revoke that per site at any time. See the privacy policy.

How does the peek pause work?

Hover a blurred area and hold the peek button for about a second and a half. The content reveals for ten seconds, then gently re-blurs. Pro users can tune both timings.

How do payments and refunds work?

The Pro upgrade is a one-time payment processed securely by Stripe through ExtensionPay. Your card details never touch us. All sales are final. If something is not working for you, email us and we will help you get it working.

Which browsers are supported?

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, and Chromium-based browsers that support Manifest V3 extensions.
