Softspot is a browser extension that lets you blur parts of websites you choose. It is designed so that your browsing stays yours.

What Softspot collects

Nothing. Softspot has no analytics, no tracking, no accounts, and no servers of its own. We never see what sites you visit, what you blur, or anything else about your browsing.

Where your data lives

Your blur rules and settings are stored in your browser's built-in extension storage. If you are signed into your browser, it may sync this data between your own devices through your browser account. That sync is handled entirely by your browser; the data never passes through us.

Site access

Softspot requests access to a website only when you choose to blur something on it, and only for that site. It never has blanket access to your browsing. You can review or revoke access per site at any time in your browser's extension settings.

Payments

Upgrading to Pro is handled by ExtensionPay and Stripe. Your payment details go directly to Stripe; Softspot never sees your card information. ExtensionPay stores the email address you provide at checkout in order to restore your purchase. See the ExtensionPay privacy policy and the Stripe privacy policy.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the update will be published at this address with a new date. Since Softspot collects nothing, changes are unlikely.
